Writing, writing, writing

I think to write in a blog every class is a good way to learn english because you need to improve your vocabulary and read what my classmates do. I can know better what they like and it's a funny way to make that. Writing about what you like it's a very good way to untied your hand and be coriuse of how you can say some things. it's different way to teach a language. In the School the classes are to boring when you have to read always topics that no one is interesed.
My english improve, now i can expose my ideas more clearly and express more things, talk about the details for example.

Blogging in the English class sometimes was very funny but sometimes boring. I think it's better when you can do this things at home, and maybe write text a little bit longer that 180 words. Maybe write a dialog with more classmates. But, in general, is a alternative way to learn what we need to know to talk a basic english. I preffer to talk more in english than writing, but we need to practice with the words to write an e-mail as a journalist for example to get some information.

let's go to eat

Today we're gonna talk about food.

First my favorite food is the Paella. This meal was created in Valencia, Spain. There are many ways to cook a paella, it can be with sea food but the main ingredient is rice. One time i was in Spain and i try a Paella valenciana wich consists of white rice, green vegetables, meat (rabbit, chicken, duck), land snails, beans and seasoning. That was amazing.

There are many restaurants in Santiago that are good, but I  love to go to the peruvian food. There is one that's called Machu Pichu wich is located in Av. Francisco Bilbao 1256 Providencia. this restaurant is not to expensive and is good to share with a people for a good price a very good food.

There is some things that i would like to try like korean food, but everybody says that is very spicy and that makes it a bad for my stomach. But who knows?

I cook the most of time spaghetti with tuna is very fast and not so bad when you´re a student far far away from home. if it's not spaghetti is rice with meal. but i know that is a very good for my nutrition.

Where is he??

Rodolfo Walsh was an argentine writer and journalist. Some people say that he was the founder of investigative journalist. He is missed since on March 25, 1977 when Argentina was in a military dictatur. His political views and his books were a huge problem for the goverment on that time and now his investigations are very important to know the cases of many people that was killed by the army and argentine police on that years.

He was a dangerous person for the people who was in the power because of his activities. With his job he made an option for the clasical journalism view wich says that the journalist just have to tell us a history with and objective point of view but he made something different. He was very active in politics. He was part of Montoneros a guerrilla in Argentina who looked with good eyes how Guevara won in cuba. So he has a clearly point of view but he was honest and ethical with his investigations and his books show things that many people wanted to have in a hidden place. Because of this he is an example of a brave person who made his life a fight against injustice.

Memory

This photo was taken by Alvaro Hoppe, who is a photografer from the AFI (Independent asociation of photographers).  It shows a demonstration were a glass was broken with a rock or a bullet. You can see a police officer walking and people who looks afraid of what is happening. I'm not sure when this photo was taken, but i guees that was in the chilean dictatorship during the eighties.

I like this photo because is a very interesting document of what the country lived in those years. I think is a very difficult angle to take. I find that is like an eye that broke a wall. When you broke the glass you can see the reality. This photografers are very important for me because with his work they build up the memory of Chile, but not the memory of the official books, this is the memory of the street, the memory of the common people.

Some tips for your life as student

1.- Eat a lot on Friday's lunch. In Juan Gomez Millas you probably want to "carretear" and maybe you'll drink too much and get drunk if you didn't eat enough. We don't wanna you bring up in front of your friends.

2.-Read and study at philosophy's library. Make you sure that you study in a quiet place. Go there if you want silence to learn something or be alone to focus.

3.- Be friendly with people who work on campus. Security guards, gardeners, secretarys office, we  are all part of a community. if you need help they will be there for you. if you study at icei, please be careful with your relationship with Olguita.

There are many tv series now that you can see on internet, but today i want to show you my favorite.

Fringe is a Sci-fiction drama like The x-files, but better. The director is the acclaimed J. J Abrams, the same who wrote Lost and now Alcatraz. In fringe you can find pararlel universes, monsters, people who travel trough time, bad scientist, FBI and maybe all you can imagine. If you want to do nothing on a weekend i think see Fringe it's a very good option.
I follow Fringe since 2008 that was the year of his first season, and every day i have more and more questions about it.
Now Fringe is at the end of his fourth season and nothing apearrs to be finished . The fifth season comes in september and will be the last so go on and get it.

Hi, my friends, i think one of the best ways to know a person is through the music. I have many favorites bands, but now i hear every day Cultura profética. They are a reggae-band from Puerto Rico. They mix this style with jazz, bossa nova, and even drum and bass. I like them because they offer something else than the other bands of reggae now, they are all great musicians. The lyrics of their songs didn't talk just about marihuana. They talk about the problem of their island, problems like to be an state of EEUU(they want their island free) and other common things like love but with very good rhyme. They have also political views against the goverment and how they treat the people there. They made a tribute to bob marley that i recommend for you. My favorite song is Soldado from their first disc Ideas nuevas ( New ideas).

I'm Gonzalo Espinoza,  i'm 21 years old,  i was born on the 11th juni 1990 in Viña del Mar each to the sea. But my fathers were in La Serena so i grew up there. I went to a very special school, Escuela de Música Jorge Peña Hen, there i learned how to play euphonium and i felt in love with the music.Actually i study journalism in Santiago at the Universidad de Chile in the ICEI's little school.

My inmediatte family is made up of my mother María Luz, my 2 brothers, Pablo and Nicolas, but i have also 2  half  brother and sister, Gabriel and Emily, they live in USA with my father Pablo.

I like very much the music, i love to play the guitar and sing with my friends or alone. The most part of the day i'm not at home, i like to be in the city making something or talking with somebody.

The last thing about me that i want to say is that Santiago is too loud.
