Memory

This photo was taken by Alvaro Hoppe, who is a photografer from the AFI (Independent asociation of photographers).  It shows a demonstration were a glass was broken with a rock or a bullet. You can see a police officer walking and people who looks afraid of what is happening. I'm not sure when this photo was taken, but i guees that was in the chilean dictatorship during the eighties.

I like this photo because is a very interesting document of what the country lived in those years. I think is a very difficult angle to take. I find that is like an eye that broke a wall. When you broke the glass you can see the reality. This photografers are very important for me because with his work they build up the memory of Chile, but not the memory of the official books, this is the memory of the street, the memory of the common people.
